Almost every other month they charged me $35 for not submitting proof of renter's insurance paperwork. You're supposed to submit it once a year and I always did. In most cases I had to go to the leasing office in person since they ignored my emails. I had similar issues any time I had to interact with the office staff, even when attempting to renew a lease! Lots of time wasted because of this :( I'm not sure if it's the fault of the staff, they seem to be chronically short handed. Anyway, the building itself is nice enough, hopefully we can build a lot more in seattle so we'll all have better options than paying thousands of dollars a month to be ignored.

Cons: Stole money off of my deposit for "cleaning" even though I thoroughly cleaned prior to move out and they confirmed it was already slated for heavy renovation anyway (I tried contacting management via phone & email with proof of the cleaning and the contradiction, got nothing back). Uses a price-fixing algorithm to set rates. Unusable payments website and hard to get in touch with anyone. They intentionally don't remind you that your new renters insurance needs to be uploaded each year and then charge you a fee after the fact. They chopped down the beautiful trees outside of my window shortly after I moved in without consulting anyone - the trees were one of the reasons I liked the unit. Leaf blower exhaust fumes and noise will come through your windows if you leave them open. Units a

My experiences while living here were great, due to the fact my partner was the assistant property manager. After moving and him leaving the company, our experiences have been awful. We just received our deposit back, 5 months after moving out. Our move out statement was incorrect at first and it took months of inconsistent communication before receiving positive results. I believe this happened due to pursuing a case through small claims court.

While my time living there was great, the time after has not been nearly the same. It's been 5 months since we moved out and took over a month to get our notice of a deposit being refunded (after we reached out). In that there were charges for carpet cleaning and apt. Cleaning that did not add up. When asking for a receipt of the cleaning nothing could be provided for carpet and the cleaning charges didn't match what we were charged. When asking for clarification and our legal right to request double the deposit refund we were met with a lack of communication or proof of any necessary charges. No acknowledgement of the legal right to pay back twice the deposit then a complete lack of response after that. After 5 months of no longer living there we received a check in the mail for 1/3 of ou

I lived in Epicenter for close to three years and had a really great experience. The building is doesn't have quite the same splashy pizazz as brand-new buildings in Seattle, as it was built in the mid-2000s. But it's plenty modern, the rent prices are reasonable, and the location is amazing. Being right in the center of Fremont has so many great benefits -- walk to grocery, food, bars, the Burke Gilman trail, and bus routes taking you north, south, east and west in just a minute or two. Really spectacular. Very easy to live without a car. The building management did change a couple of times while I was there, but each management team has been friendly and accommodating. I want to call special attention to the facilities crew. Any time we had a small issue with something in our apartment
