Empire Title of Pueblo

I’ve had the worst experience with this title company. They are quick to take your money but don’t care about giving your credit back. I’ve had a credit sit with this company with a deadline from 11/23/25. I sold my house in Pueblo West back in August. It’s almost 2026 and they still haven’t updated me on my credit wire. The contractors already worked on the property after I sold it and have already provided an invoice. They’re just sitting with about 4k that’s owed to me for months now. Don’t expect these people to get anything done for you, if they owe you money be ready to wait. Why set deadlines if no one gives a damn if the transaction is past that date? Don’t kid yourselves. Glad I don’t have to do business in Pueblo anymore

I just closed on the sale of my house with Stewart Title and it truly was the best experience. Ramona did our closing and her level of professionalism was beyond amazing. She had everything ready for us early in the morning and explained it all in detail. She knew how stressed we had been to get through this whole process and made it so easy for us. She kept me informed by phone or email through the whole process. I used Stewart when I bought my house 16 years ago and wanted to use them again when I sold. I will never use another Title company. I highly recommend them!!

Denise is amazing. She made our recent closing the best one I've ever experienced. She was quick, extremely efficient, explained everything very clearly, and was willing to answer questions. She explained the pitfalls to watch for (the junk mail regarding deeds and insurance that flood your mailbox after you buy a home) and while effectively keeping to the time table, never made us feel rushed. Truly the best closing I've ever been a part of (out of 8).

Did not have a good experience overall with Stewart Title. I will say that it was not all bad but overall very disappointing. Denise was awesome, made things happen when it got to her level. We were initially assigned a closer, thankfully Denise became involved in the process. We were emailed docs by the closer with no explanation of what was needed. She gave no explanation of the docs and was never available when I called. 7 days after closing, I had recieved no docs or check. When I called and asked her about the check and final statement, she responded with a surprising answer. She didn't know when the check would arrive, she wasn't sure when it went out. Surprising it is untracked for the amount sent by mail. She was also surprised when I asked for the final statement and amount.

I think if you’re looking for a title company, you should look somewhere else. This title company likely doesn’t own a Calculator or can’t use one appropriately. The whole reason to pay a title company, exorbitant fees it so at the end of the day you were not left with any incorrect information or owing or overpaying. That is simply not the case with my experience with this company and I would actively advise anyone to consider using another title company.
