Someone referred me to Derek Paulson and Empire Estate Sales as a reputable company that will help you dispose of the contents of a house, garage, basement, backyard shed, etc. I needed all of the above and didn’t have a lot of time as my house sold quickly and I had a lease set up to move into an apartment. It was major downsizing. Derek laid out the details for the sale in an organized manner. Dates for set up, sale, and clean out were established and honored. He told me to leave anything I didn’t want, right down to a used bar of soap. All of my items were treated with respect. What could be sold was sold and, per our agreement, Derek and his colleagues took the rest (two big truckloads). They left the house swept and in good order. We were downsizing at our home and took apart a king size sleigh bed in excellent condition. We thought about selling it on Market Place however it’s rather large and required storage until sold. So that morning that we took it apart we just randomly thought to call Empire Estate Sales, LLC. They graciously told us they could take the sleigh bed with the 2 large drawers at the bottom and would try to sell. They explained the process on timely. We delivered the bed to them that day in September and yes it was sold by the end of December. We received a check from them and we didn’t need to advertise or hold in storage at our house. Empire Estate Sales is an excellent company. Derek (a fellow Albany Academy alumni) and his crew, - Bob, Brei, and team did a wonderful job setting up and running our sale and cleaning up after. They are very organized and professional. And managed to pull off a successful sale during the end of January in the Northeast!

Derek and his team were so great in helping me navigate the very challenging task of cleaning out my childhood home and in executing a very large estate sale. Derek walked me through all the options over the phone and helped me make the right choices for our situation. Empire Estate Sales was incredible and helped me tremendously.

I want to thank Derek, Adam and the whole team at Empire Estate Sales for helping my family clear out 70 years of very diverse, unique and heaping helpings of everything. Leading up to the sale they answered all of my questions, provided me with examples of a sales reports, and gave us guidance and an idea of what to expect. The days of the sale were filled with people who are in their circle of "regulars", but I cannot imagine that all of the people who came through the home were from that group so the advertising ahead of the sale must have done its job. In the below freezing temperatures members of their staff helped carry the buyer's goodies even when they were hundreds of feet down the road.
