Embudo Towers

For years I've driven past this place and was under the impression that it was just another abandoned building in a slowly dying city, sort of like a half remembered dream of a time when Uptown Albuquerque was a good place to live and work. However recently I've noticed signs of life emanating from the complex, reminding me of similar places in 90s era Beirut or Sarajevo where people had the tenacity to survive and live in bombed out buildings and places of squalor. Where there is life there is hope I suppose.

This place used to be a nice retirement community, until about 2024 when New management came to Embudo Towers retirement apartments; Christy Sam as property manager. They now have secluded all residents to there jail cells locked up the property as if the on the green mile and allowed bff "nosy residents" to invade personal space while outside on the premises with 100% access to security cameras throughout the property. There are a variety of hippa violations going on in this complex to where residents no longer feel safe to walk outside to get a breath of fresh air or be a community in the dinning hall. The manager never takes responsibility as far as concerns from her residence and actually is never at work although the sign is always hanging on the door stating she is in a meeting but n

Very nice Apartments. Quiet., nice people, in house laundry. Close to stores and bus stops. I LOVE IT HERE. ANITA MONTOYA

Horrible place, infested with roaches & bed bugs. The residents are nosey. They tell lies about other residents, they are rude and they gock at you. AHA staff try but can only do what is allowed.

Bed bugs and roaches are bad. They blocked all the floor apartment patio entrances and caused a lot of seniors problems forcing them to walk long hallways to be picked up and to carry groceries the long way around. Exits that are not allowed to be used. Expensive coin-op dryers that don’t dry. Soda vending machine that charges $1.75 for a can soda. Management rarely onsite. Maintenance takes forever then don’t return to finish repairs.
