Unknowingly, the home I put a bid in for had major issues that Tom made me aware of in his detailed analysis. He was professional, thorough, unbiased and factual. He pointed out both cosmetic and troublesome areas which built my trust in his top to bottom inspection. He educated me on what to look for when looking for a home in the future. He went the extra mile by taking the time to explain things that were not in my wheelhouse. If I didn’t work with Tom on this home, I would have entered into a 30 year money pit as a single mom. After we discovered the home we purchased had mold, as part of the mold remediation process, the company wanted a 3rd party air sample test post remediation to assure it was a success. While the tests were going on, he also did a thermal scanner to see if there were any areas we needed to look into. It led us to finding out the HVAC system wasn’t properly sized for the house despite only being 5 years old. He also used a hydrometer to find some windows that needed recaulking to assure we had the house in tight shape.
