DMS

Zero stars. The company has put our HOA at the brink of bankruptcy. We are not convinced they did not steal money from us as purchases were not properly recorded. They were supposed to send us a monthly statement and never sent us one. Do not trust them. Do not hire them. You will regret it.

DMS has managed our property since 1996. They took over when we had zero money and have saved enough money to fund every project needed for the condo. People don't understand owner responsibility vs. association. These people learn when they buy a house. Only impatient and selfish people have a problem with DMS.

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Under no circumstances should you do business with DMS Management. They will take your management fees and provide less than the minimum amount of service/assistance. They managed our building and association for over 20 years and absolutely neglected most maintenance. They allowed us to keep paying $50/month for verizon service for a call box that did not work. They did not take care of the wooden balconies, leading to structural failure. They failed to set up association meetings as dictated by the bylaws of the association. They failed to address concerns of residents in a timely manner. When I would ask for something by email, I was completely ignored. - Recurring placement of garbage bins obstructing backdoor access, despite repeated complaints since August 8, 2023. - Health hazards posed by the placement of bins, as evidenced by a recent incident involving a used hypodermic needle. - Persistent flooding in the laundry room since March 3rd, 2024, due to an unaddressed crack in the foundation, resulting in non-functional appliances. - Unresolved rat infestation issue reported in September 2023, with residents unjustly billed for pest control services. - Inadequate response and neglect from DMS Management Services, prompting the necessity of legal action and depositing condo fees into escrow until resolution. - My friends car was towed and they never reimbursed me or her for the fees and she was only parked overnight AND they towed it in

DMS does what is required to keep the building sanitary and functioning. The problem with DMS is that their management practices are behind the times and imprecise. They still issue bank payment coupons, as though most people pay bills with checks anymore. Depending on who you talk to, you get different directions on where to send checks, and whoever you didn't talk to chides you about sending checks to the wrong place. The bills you receive are inaccurate, so you have to check your records against theirs ($100 of mine currently missing).
