DHI Mortgage

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT use them. Dhi lending and D.R. Horton homes are a dirty duo. They target people and give you a Mortgage estimate based on the cost Of unapproved land making your mortgage appear lower. You don’t find this out until Reassessment when they actually use your property value with an Actual house on it. You will be hit with a massive increase in your mortgage. My brother is being forced to sell at a loss because he can’t do the new mortgage. Do your research. There are several class action lawsuits out there regarding the same Thing.

We began the home-buying process working with another lender but ultimately switched to DHI because our DR Horton home offered incentives to work with their lender. In hindsight, the experience with our previous lender highlighted just how poorly organized DHI truly is. We worked with Heather, who was kind and pleasant to interact with. However, the biggest issue with DHI was the severe lack of communication between the various channels involved in the lending process. Time and time again, we were told, “The ball is in [another department’s] court; there’s nothing I can do.” It became clear that there was no true advocate on our side at DHI. Heather didn’t appear to have established relationships or effective communication with the other departments, leading to a frustrating lack of coord

Without a doubt, the worst lending group I have ever dealt with. Heather in particular was repulsively dry, failed to return phone calls, condescending majority of the time. The entire interaction felt like an inconvenience rather than an opportunity. They can kick rocks - save your time folks

ZERO stars or NEGATIVE stars. Please dont get into the Trap of closing cost credit from DHI Mortgage. They cheat at the end by giving 100s of reasons and elevate rates indirectly to recover credit. We locked the rate few days back and Lender came back now informing some selection resulted in error and could not lock it. Now, knowing that only few days left to close, quoting 0.75% more than what other lenders are offering.. Not a good experience, I wish I had gone with other lender, now too late.. Ideally Builder lender should offer better rates but DHI Mortgage is worst when comes to customer friendly service..

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend dealing with this branch AT ALL. My personal experience; as a NC / SC Realtor has been like pulling teeth to say the least. Paul Metgzer is probably the worst "Loan Originator" I have ever dealt with. He will absolutely leave you out of pretty much ALL information unless you force yourself in. He has absolutely ignored questions, i have asked and called my client directly and send me a 1 sentence email stating he has spoken to "my cient" . Let's just say Lesson learned... Thank God this is closing in approx a week... but I would NEVER recommend nor advocate for this office... Especially Paul. It's obvious that the representing realtor doesn't matter in his eyes... he is truly a DH Horton Rep.... ..................... JUST DON'T.........................
