If leaving negative stars were an option, I would happily do so. Unfortunately, dealing with this company turned into an ongoing exercise in patience. Communication with Ethan Conrad, in particular, was consistently dismissive and unprofessional. Concerns about harassment and abuse from other tenants were repeatedly minimized or outright disregarded, despite the existence of clear video and photo documentation (which I’m more than happy to provide if suddenly deemed relevant). For anyone considering renting through this company, it’s worth noting that damages and serious issues caused by other tenants appear to be of little concern, as does basic empathy or courtesy. Merridee Escalera is so wonderful to work with! She was proactive and made our property sale process go so, so much more smoothly than I could have imagined. I highly recommend her and the team at Destination for both their property management and property sale services.

Always have to remember with places like this that the tenant is not the client, the property owner is. I still think about a snarky comment Ethan made, years ago, when I was asking for help. Maybe he remembers, maybe not. And hey, most of the time, you probably won't have an issue. Most of the time they're even moderately quick with maintenance requests (not today, of course, which is why I finally took the time to write this out). But I think the indignant attitude you can see here in the company's responses to negative feedback is one they carry elsewhere. I trust 'em about as far as I can throw 'em

My wife and I inherited my parents’ retirement home in 2013. Since 2015 Destination Real Estate’s Meridee Escalera has managed the home as a rental. She and her assistant made the experience easy treating renter and landlord with promptness, respect and integrity. Merridee’s assistant, Ethan, handled arranging all common repairs plus a roof replacement and septic tank replacements. In November 2024 we decided to sell the property when the lease expired April 1, 2025. This is the first real estate we have ever sold. I worked with Meridee to purchase a multi family family property in Tallahassee. The timing wasn’t the best as I was having surgery the day my offer got accepted. Needless to say, we still managed to close within 3 weeks, because Meridee stayed on top of everything and was engaged throughout the process with my lender and other relevant parties to a mortgage. I love that she never forced anyone on me, but provided a list of options in each category (survey, insurance, inspection, plumbing etc.) and was open to me using those not connected with her. I’ve since closed and she’s now my property manager, and I’m so happy to continue working with her.
