We are very happy with the quality of work and also how easy it was to work with all the staff members from DeGraff Bloom Builders. They were eager to help with all our customization needs and very responsive whenever there’s been an issue. They gave us a timeline early on in the process and were spot on with closing date predictions. We were able to stay in our previous home until closing date, which was very convenient. Shout out to Mark Johnson, Gail DeGraff, Lori Adams, and of course Jeremy and his crew of hard workers and contractors.

Let me tell you a story about Degraff bloom builder. On May 5 of 2022 we signed a contract that would change our lives to build a new home in our favorite neighborhood. Upon signing we were told the process would take 10 to 12 months. We applied with our favorite loan officer Bob Patnaude and locked in a very good rate for a 12 month build. For 5 months the project sat idle and nothing happened, nothing at all. In the middle of October they finally dug a hole. 1 week after that they poured a foundation. Then the project sat idle for 2 months again and in late December framing began. At the 11 month mark they began to do some wiring, plumbing, and hvac. Windsor Oaks Colonie My Husband and I came to Dergraff Bloom to build our home in Windsor Oaks Colonie. 1 year and 3 months of our life wasted. DeGraff Bloom Builder commits an unethical act against the health and life safety Residential and IBC codes of the New York State building codes while building our house and ignores the engineers drawings to use full length 18 foot long pre-engineered 1.7E versa studs by Boise Cascade for the two story 18 feet tall wall for the living room on all three exterior walls. Degraff Bloom builders try’s to stack two separate 2 x 6 walls on top of each other which is against the NYS building codes and against the engineers drawings. We reserved a lot to build a custom home in Windsor Oaks, Colonie and provided the builder a preliminary plan with specific dimensions.  A red flag should have went up when he said the plan we provided would not fit on the lot we reserved, even though he had a plot plan for the lot.  After a two month delay informing us and presenting a totally different plan, we insisted that our plan would fit and he finally confirmed our plan did fit on the lot. Builder advertises as a "Custom Builder," but failed to provide a custom home contract.  For over a year, we made numerous efforts to request detailed information and complete specifications to get a construction contract with little response from the builder.  He was not forthcoming and most questions went unanswered or asked multiple times. First off the only reason I give this builder a one star is because you have to give At least one star in order to leave a review. This builder constructs nice looking homes but in reality they are of very poor quality. I moved into a Degraff and Bloom home 3 years ago and there are many things I have noticed that are off with this house. In some bedrooms where the out take vent is there’s just a vent cover but no actual venting. I noticed this while laying on the floor one day. I turned my head and looked into the vent and it was just wood and sheet rock. There was zero venting in the hole. It was a completely fake vent. Also I found a hole in the basement wall where the builder was going to put a drainage pipe of sorts but they decided to put the pipe somewhere else in the basement and l
