David and DDH Realty has been my Property Manager for 8 years and I have had a number of tenants through the home during this time. I have been very happy with David's response and ability to problem solve. I was very impressed and appreciative during with his continuous and consistent updates during and after Hurricane Florence. I would recommend David and DDH Reality for any Property Owner. He is Honest, Ethical and works for you the property owner.

My wife and I moved from Pennsylvania to the Wilmington Area, and unfortunately, the entire home selection process fell on my wife to do. While looking for prospective homes, she had come across DDH Realty; a friendly expert on local housing. Our first choice didn't come together, but the home we found on Carolina Beach was incredible and we made memories for a life time. Throughout the course of our lease term, repairs were followed up on promptly -- David was always very easy to reach, very responsive, and always took tenant requests into serious consideration (as well as presenting them in front of the owners of the property, who are excellent folks themselves). David is the property manager for the home I am renting and I’ve been consistently impressed by his attention to detail and effort he puts forth. He made the rental process smooth and any issue that has arisen with the home he diligently resolved. Overall it’s been an excellent experience working with David.

During our 2 year history of renting with David Dougherty at DDH reality, things went very smoothly while he was receiving monthly payments. We did not experience difficulty until we moved out. When we initially moved into the house, the lawn was extremely overgrown and shin high, so like everything else we returned the house in the same condition as we found it, including the lawn. He charged us a very large amount for lawn care (the yard was very small) and refused to refund the amount after we confronted him about it. If you expect to get your full deposit back after you move out, this is not the realty to use. He will create some excuse to take your money even if it is unethical.
