Dakota at Shepherd

From the very first day I toured Dakota on Shepherd, I knew this was going to be my future apartment. Erika, the leasing agent, was the absolute sweetest and made the entire experience feel welcoming and stress-free. She truly made me feel at home from the moment I walked in. William, the manager, is a solid 10/10. He went above and beyond to explain everything in detail and even took the time to record a video of an apartment I hadn’t seen since I couldn’t visit it in person. That level of care and attention really meant a lot. The entire team goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and supported. I highly recommend Dakota on Shepherd to anyone looking for a place that truly feels like home.

I just moved in last month and I can’t express how much I’ve loved living here already! Everyone in the leasing office is so friendly, kind, and helpful. Liliana helped me find my home and made the process so smooth and easy! These apartments are very clean and I am very impressed with everything here overall.

I absolutely love the leasing staff at Dakota at Shepherd. Erica is always warm, friendly, & personable. Anytime I’ve spoken with Lily, she’s been nice, patient, and able to resolve any issues/concerns. William is pretty much always accessible, even after business hours. They are all efficient when it comes managing the tenants needs. I like the location of the property. I’ve been living here since they’ve opened. Anytime, I’ve needed something fixed in my apartment, maintenance came right over. When there’s an issue at the property, the staff works diligently to resolve it and keep the tenants updated on progress. We’ve been living at Dakota at Shepherd since April 2025. Living in Houston and finding a good apartment complex with management that is communicative, friendly, understanding is HARD. However, I love the staff here. Erika and Lily have been courteous and reliable since the start. They greet me and my family by name and even remember my parents who helped us move in on the first day! When we first moved in and I was almost 9 months pregnant the elevators unfortunately didn’t work which meant that I had to use the stairs to my 4th floor apartment everyday. The staff did their best to keep me in communication on the updates of the elevator. It wasn’t ideal however they never ignored me and always apologized for the inconvenience. As a new resident, my experience has been nothing short of excellent. From the very beginning of the application process, everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The team made sure I felt welcomed and supported every step of the way. The management and leasing team — William, Lilly, and Erika — are consistently kind, approachable, and incredibly helpful. They truly go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and ensure this community feels like home. The maintenance team is outstanding — extremely quick, professional,
