Crane Creek Senior Apartments

The hall carpet on all the floors need replacing, but specifically on the third floor, The stains cannot be washed out, it smells, and gives a very bad impression to guests who come to visit. I think tile would be easier to take care of. Overall the accommodations are good, there are several activities that can be participated in and everyone is friendly. My biggest complaint is my rent is equal to those who have balconies and are considered "commercial rate. dwellings." According the the HUD Chart for Brevard County for 2025 released each year by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, based on my income , my rent should be charged at the 33% rate but I am being charged at the 60% rate. Someone said it was because they consider this a "penthouse apartment." Believe me, it is no Penthouse

First most, I had a brief tour a few months ago while I was in town. I have called back for further details on how to qualify on a limited income. I spoke with "Cindy Lou". She was extraordinary in her knowledge on Senior Living and the possible resources that can help with the application process. I was very impressed at her heart for the unique needs of Seniors. She spoke to me very clearly and at a pace where I could understand while gathering the information. The type of personable communication she provided set a caring community atmosphere for The Crane Creek Apartments. It left me feeling less apprehensive in my search

Overall a very nice place to live, great location for the city of Melbourne. No place is perfect but I do want to stay here and don't plan on moving. The residents are friendly and caring. The maintenance staff is happy to resolve any situations and the management does address problems.

BEWARE of the new management at “Crane Creek Senior Apartments” on South Babcock Street in Melbourne FL. I tried for about 3 months to get a apartment there, and I feel I was misled and lied to. I also contacted their corporate office and their corporate office did not respond to my issues. I can not believe they do this to senior citizens. DON'T MOVE IN HERE! The common areas are filthy and the building has a big bedbug problem that they will not treat properly. The swimming pool is not cleaned properly either. The manager here should be working in a prison not a senior apartment building. My neighbor has so much black mold in his rug that it is leaving a path down the hall from his apartment. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!
