Cottages at Tulane

This apartment community has been a major disappointment. The buildings are very old, the floor plans are extremely small, and the rent is excessively high for the limited square footage provided. The property has a serious roach problem, and despite multiple reports, nothing has been resolved. Service requests take months, even after more than 100 follow-ups, which is unacceptable and one of the main reasons so many residents have already vacated the community. The gym equipment is barely functional, with many machines broken for long periods. The community is also poorly maintained — there is dog poop everywhere, and the dog waste trash bag stations near parking areas are regularly empty or overflowing, making the place unhygienic and unpleasant. I can’t say enough great things about my apartment! Moving into my first apartment was such a breeze thanks to everyone here. The entire community is so welcoming, loving, and truly caring—I feel really safe. A huge shoutout to Morgan, my property manager, who went above and beyond to help me get approved—she was amazing! And I can’t forget Sierra—she was so sweet and supportive. I absolutely love living here

Red flags before moving in. -poor communication. I was supposed to move in Jan 24 2025, I noticed the snow storm that Tuesday and called to see what we could agree with (if sooner or later) , they said that I was going to get a call back. Never did. I told me that either way I was going to pass by the next day with my husband to view the unit and sign contract and specially asked what time was their lunch to avoid going at those times, I got told someone is always there. We got there around 1:45 (next day) and no one was there, kept calling throughout the day I didn’t get a reply up until 4/5pm, and tried to ask what’s going on and all I got was “I don’t have access to your files, I can’t help you” calmly, I asked “ok that’s fine. I love this place ! As soon as I toured these apartments, I knew I wanted to stay here the Leasing Office everybody is so kind there. Cynthia, Victoria, and Morgan were also so helpful during my process of moving in and afterwards also. Everybody is friendly here. The community is really clean. They are pet friendly, quiet, has a dog park, nice balconies, and an all year open Jacuzzi! Also lots of fields and great parking. If you’re looking for a new place to stay, I would check it out!
