Cortland West Plano

I am super impressed by the Cortland West Plano's management team onsite. They are always proactive, transparent, warm and super helpful. Emily and Adam helped me get my car parking in a few weeks, which usually takes several months due to heavy demand and limited supply. Emily personally called each person (about 100 in the list) to qualify the garage requests to fast track the process. A great example of customer delight! Keep it up!

Adam from leasing office was really helpful with tour and detailed information about community. It was bit difficult to finish signing the lease with backend office. (May be due to lot of holidays and Christmas) Apartment is recently renovated. No carpet, all wooden flooring. So no smell or suffocation, no pest issues so far. Helpful community. I will continue to update my feedback as my tenure extends.

I have been waiting 16 months to post a review here and here’s why. In July of 2024 I tried to move in here after signing a lease. I was coming from out of state and had a virtual tour with Emily. She was very nice and showed me around. I asked her many questions but specifically about parking and smoke. She told me parking was no problem they had plenty and that it was a some free facility so I didn’t need to worry. When I got there to move in the unit I had signed for reeked of cigaret smoke. Mason one if their leasing agents came to look at it and agreed it smelled awful. The rest of the staff specifically Tyler, were extremely rude and refused to give me a different until unless I paid more. I spent hours speaking with him. Terrible Management & Billing Issues - Before signing the lease, everything was smooth and friendly. Once the lease was finalized, the attitude completely changed. Any concern is met with the same response: “There’s nothing we can do — it’s not in our hands.” That seems to be their default excuse. First, their payment portal malfunctioned and charged me twice for the same month’s rent. When I contacted management to fix the duplicate charge, instead of promptly refunding the extra payment, they insisted on keeping it as a credit for the next month. That might sound simple, but it caused serious problems for me financially. When I spoke to my bank about reversing the duplicate charge, the leasing office informed me they would charge $75 as a “returned payment” fee for the second transact

It’s been one month of me staying at Cortland West Plano, it been wonderful experience. Emily and Adam both are extremely cooperative and friendly, made my move in experience quite easy. Also the location and surrounding areas are beautiful and clean
