Colonial Townhouse Apartments

Terrible, unaccommodating management that will do everything to make your life tougher. In particular, I abhorred interacting with Katrina and Anna at the leasing office. I had found people to transfer my lease to, and they kept on introducing new, unnecessary rules at every step which stretched the process out from 5 days to a month. It feels as if they are the customers and we have to appease them. Their default attitude to me was to be rude, and of course if I say anything honest, they would just make the process tougher for me.

Lived here for 3 years (started in a 1bed and then transferred to a townhouse) and for the most part, our experience was positive. Location was quiet and near a lot of businesses and maintenance was always helpful. There were definitely some corners cut when it came to renovating/fixing past imperfections last tenants left (which was not really reflected in the rent), but we enjoyed living there and it was great for when we were students. In terms of rent price, location, safety and value, I would recommend CTA to students.

Lived here for two years & overall, a good experience. Neighbors were quiet and friendly, maintenance always came asap when there was a problem (which wasn’t often), & the ladies in the office have always been nice & helpful! Our only issue with the 2bd apartment is that there is only one AC unit and it is in one room, and the air does not really travel to anywhere else in the apartment. We had to install an additional AC downstairs and a fan in the second room to keep them cool. Which is fine but raised our electricity bill during the hot months. Then during the cold months the heat only really heats up the downstairs and not the 2 rooms upstairs.

I lived at this place for two years back in 2018-2020 and it wasn’t bad. It was outdated and we had some requests for management about fixing our front door since it was cracked and light could come in (not a lot but still it could) but it was never fixed. Oh and the walls are paper thin, luckily our neighbors were loud occasionally so we didn’t really cared 🤷‍♀️ ya know. Other than that no problems. Sorry no pictures since this was a while ago.

Everything here is super cheap and because of how cheap it is everything falls apart. Rent is incredibly high given how small and depressing the place actually is. People stealing your packages, cars broken into, they allow criminals to live here like my neighbors who abuse each other and we have to hear it every single week. Find somewhere better.
