Collins Family Funeral Home Inc

This was one of the most upsetting experiences my family has ever had. After my grandfather passed, we called this funeral home to arrange pickup and were told they would be coming. We waited over six hours with no arrival, no updates, and no sense of urgency. During an incredibly emotional and difficult time, we were left completely in the dark. Eventually, we had no choice but to call another funeral home—and they arrived within an hour. The contrast was shocking. A funeral home should provide compassion, professionalism, and reliability, especially at a moment like this. Unfortunately, this one failed us when we needed them most. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

I would give them zero stars if I could. My dad passed at 350pm & the hospice nurse came at 6pm and called Collin's to come and pick my dad up. I called Collin's at 745, 9, and 10pm and got the same lip service from 3 different people. "We will take your number and pass it on to our team member" WE NEVER GOT A CALL. So we called the hospice nurse again and she called Collin's and got the same BS lip service we did so we asked her for help and she got ahold of Deyoungs at 1120 PM and the came out in less than an hour. They showed sympathy and respect and even apologize for what Collin’s had put us through. It’s 1245am as I am writing this review and We still haven't gotten a call nor did they show up to pick him up. So l guess I was supposed to put my father in the back of the truck and tak

I was told multiple times someone would reach back out, but no one ever did. Lora even hung up before I could finish my sentence. When I finally spoke with Michael, the owner, he was neither compassionate nor attentive, and seemed distracted throughout our conversation. Overall, very unprofessional and lacking the care grieving families deserve.

The gentlemen that came and picked up my father-in-law were very nice and were cautious of their surroundings. The issue is that they did not return my father-in-law's ring. I can only assume someone kept it to sell or take to a pawn shop! That is really a dirty thing to do to a grieving family, especially to the widow. How many other families has this been to? I'm just baffled and really upset at the inconsiderate nature. It's the same feeling of someone robbing you. I certainly would not recommend this place to a grieving family ever!

Words cannot describe how grateful my family is for Michael and Laura’s kindness and professionalism in helping us prepare for my father’s funeral. My family had met with other funeral home representatives prior to meeting with the team at Collins Family Funeral Home, and when we met Laura, we immediately knew we found the best place in town. From the first meeting it was clear that they cared deeply about ensuring that my father received a beautiful (and affordable) celebration of life. Laura was always responsive and helpful when we had questions or needed advice along the way. The service was beautifully curated and we could not be more grateful for their help.
