I was drawn to Tripalink for the affordable rent and thought I’d found a great deal + modern units. I genuinely expected ATLEAST an okay experience. As my lease is now ending here is my experience from someone who rented with Tripalink for the first time. First, I spent the majority of my lease avoiding my own apartment. I would regularly drive an hour just to stay at a friend’s place as mine became hell for me. I did not feel comfortable or safe in my own home with a neighbor who was obnoxiously being loud, which I ignored for a couple months until I no longer could because it was that loud, then it turned into harassment and stalking outside of the shared building. If you choose to rent here, make sure you know your rights and are prepared to stand up for them as management will try and violate them at every turn. The apartment itself was decent for the rent but management was terrible and broke multiple laws while we were there. They attempted to enter our apartment without the required 48-hour notice and only did not due to our immediate refusal. They essentially kicked us out of our apartment in order to do renovations in the kitchen for two weeks that we did not ask for nor did we receive more than a few days' notice of them. During this time we had to remove everything from the kitchen to our rooms essentially making the rooms unusable due to space. Great location but horrible management, mold, and inattentiveness. A note was left on the front door asking us for days/time that would work for interested renters to tour the apartment. Despite providing several days and blocks of time that worked, management still scheduled all the tours during the days and times that we said did NOT work, without any warning or further notice. Unauthorized vehicles have been parking in my assigned spot about 50% of the time, if not more. Each time I notify Mindy, she said "she cannot control everyone" and she will leave a note on the car and give them a few hours to move, but nothing is ever done and I was told to " find somewhere else to park" even though I am paying monthly for this spot. Rented at their Hong Kong Apartments from 2020 to 2022. Price is great, neighborhood is fantastic, management is corrupt. 1. Pests: German cockroach problem. Old building above restaruants this was kind of to be expected. Except they never actually sent anyone to my apartment to spray. 2. Every review warning about scamming practices is absolutely correct. After moving out, three months had passed and I hadn't received any notice about my security deposit. I reached back out and was instead hit with a rude message that said I actually owed them $600 more and if I didn't send it immediately she would send me to collections and that it was my fault because I didn't provide them with a new address. After my daughter moved out of their place it has been several months of trying to get a hold of Mindy the leasing agent to get her to release the lease for the new apartment and it has been an absolute nightmare. She does not return phone calls, she does not return emails, she did not give us the correct forms when we finally got a hold of the correct forms we have still been waiting for weeks for another response to the new landlord leasing agent. We may end up missing out on the new place because of her lack of response.
