⚠️ RENTERS AND HOME OWNERS BEWARE. One star when they deserve zero. Doing business with these people is straight up dangerous ⚠️ . We had toxic levels of formaldehyde in the house they rented to us. When we politely flagged that it was slowly poisoning us (and all of the insects that were rolling over dead in their tracks like canaries in the coal mine), they treated us like suspect criminals and hypochondriacs. Even when air quality reports confirmed the formaldehyde, as well as a gas leak, and the HVAC house filter was so filthy that it was black UPON move in (see photos), and we had documented records and complaints that were validated by their own employees, the owners Joyce and Rick still stalled and engaged in a lengthy back-and-forth between our lawyers and their’s, and insisted th
My name is Jordan—the same tenant Rick referred to in his earlier responses—so I want to clearly outline the issues we experienced and how Cobblestone handled them from start to finish. Our problems began with a work order for a spigot that was flooding our yard. Cobblestone sent a vendor out around 1 p.m., and that visit immediately became a serious issue. The vendor behaved inappropriately and was disrespectful toward my roommate—so much so that Cobblestone ultimately told us they let him go because of our complaint. This is the only part of the situation they handled appropriately. That vendor also only disconnected the spigot so it would stop flooding the yard but left it hanging there broken. So it was never fixed with the first vendor. After that, Cobblestone sent a second vendor.
I strongly advise against engaging with this management company and investing in their properties. The condition of the homes is significantly neglected. My property shares a fence that is severely damaged and deteriorating. Despite this, Chandler, a representative from the company, believes it can still be repaired, which is surprising given its age of 26 years. I have never encountered a group of individuals who demonstrate such a lack of professionalism and care. If you value your property, it is best to avoid this company. I will be undertaking the replacement of the fence independently and pursuing legal action against my neighbors.
If you’re considering renting from cobblestone, I strongly urge you to explore any other option . As some who never writes negative reviews, I feel the need to warn potential renters about this company’s management and the complete disregard for tenants safety and satisfaction. There is a reason their ratings are the way they are. I was a resident at this property for approximately 3 years. I had no issues until I had a roommate that wanted to be released from the lease due to them not wanting to stay in the home due to disagreements. He had called and asked to be released and Jordan gave misinformation and had told him he would not be able to get removed from the lease without someone else taking his spot. Which should not have been the case. I had let Cynthia and Jordan both know my con
I’ve delayed writing this review, but every time I think about our experience, I feel it needs to be shared. I would 100% never rent from Cobblestone. There’s a reason their rating is around two stars. We rented from them for a year and loved the home so much that we planned to renew for another year. Unfortunately, that’s when everything went downhill. We started having issues with the sprinklers and spigot in the yard, and the grass was dying. Every time we submitted a work order, the vendors were difficult to schedule with and offered almost no flexibility. They often needed access inside and under the house, so we wanted to be home when they came, but we were constantly given less than 24 hours’ notice or had to take time off work, only for the vendors not to show up.
