I'm in the military, and it's bad to say i'd much RATHER stay in the barracks. I've been here a year, and nothing gets done!! Goodluck trying to get maintenance to see your issues, you'll have an issue once every single week!! once my spouse and I moved in, the immediate inspection was so crazy. The carpet was DRENCHED. The space above the closet wasn't secured to the wall at all. Balcony is extremely dirty. Initially, I thought "oh no biggie, it's not much." Boy was I wrong. Lived here for 3 years. Nothing got fixed in a timely manner. Had a whole in my ceiling with mold. Took forever for them to resolve. When finally worked on, i was told that they would be back to smooth out the patching they did. Never came back. AC would break every summer and heat would break every winter. Took forever for them to get to these orders. Washing machine, other appliances, and window would leak (window issue was raised when i moved in. 3 years later it was never resolved literally leaking the week i moved out). Ongoing leaking issues caused mold and a LIVING GROWING PLANT to sprout and grow in the CARPET of one of the rooms. Carpet was ripped up and replaced. Leaking issue was still ongoing after this. Coastline Apartments, Virginia Beach – A Deeply Disappointing Experience My husband and I had high hopes when we toured Coastline Apartments in May, committing to move into a unit on July 7th. We were very excited to find a ground floor unit that would be suitable for our 7 year old daughter, who is currently wheelchair bound following surgery in June. What unfolded was a deeply frustrating and intensely stressful ordeal that no tenant should have to endure. From the start, communication was lacking. On July 7th, our move-in day, we arrived with our UHaul of furniture, and found a crowded office full of tenants with unresolved maintenance complaints and we were informed that our unit wasn’t ready — despite having a signed lease. Would like to give shoutout to Kermisha and Tyeshia for their great customer service and ability to be patient and accommodating as could be to make my move in go a little bit smoother for me. If you’re a first time renter or have question after question like myself, then I recommend asking for and speaking with either of these young ladies! Aside from minor issues inside the apartment right now that should be fixable with the help of the maintenance team they have, things are going okay and I hope for them to stay that way! Again, shoutout and thanks to them, hope to not have any issues with much staying here and hoping to continue to be able to work with them throughout my time living here at coastline.
