Clarewood Apartments

After living at Clarewood (3 bed 2 bath) with my bestfriend for a year, I am pleased to say Clarewood is a wonderful place to live. It’s very peaceful and clean! Beautiful lay out inside and out of the apartment. The pool is usually clean, pet messes are minimal, mailbox is accessible at all times, but the garden has not been touched. I’m sure with a community effort that could be changed. Although management had changed a total of 4 times while I’ve been here, each new member was very helpful and polite. The maintenance staff, which had also changed a few times, have always been punctual and polite when I am in need of assistance! Clarewood is also in such a convenient spot which has helped me find my way around San Marcos as a college student. Very much recommended!

I’ve stayed at Clarewood for about a year and it has been a great place to live so far. The 1 bedroom layout is cozy and reasonably priced, and the complex is small but cute. I’ve appreciated the level of communication between management and residents; they make it clear what is going on in the community and why. Overall I’ve enjoyed my stay here!

I personally loved the old staff and management but they got rid of everyone !! Even the greatest maintenance woman to ever exist DENISE (if that’s how you spell her name) the newest management had her train all the new hires and kicked her to the curb (long story short) if you had an issue she was the person who you wanted to fix it. Yes it’s quite but the number system definitely needs a change. The buildings are older and my unit was definitely out dated. I had multiple issues with wasps nest and I had water damage from my roof never put in request to fix it because I was getting out of there ASAP once my lease was up. The new management is the issue. And I’m sorry but 1000 plus for a third floor apartment that’s outdated and needs more insulation in the roof is an overkill. And their g

I’ve moved here last year around September this is my first time doing this by myself after losing my mom in April and I wanna say I really like this place I like the energy and environment the only thing I wish is a bigger doggie park 🥹 but overall I like my home and I like the area and the people that are staffed here

As a resident of Clarewood for nearly 4 years, I am deeply saddened to learn that one of our favorite members of the maintenance staff, Denise, might be losing her job soon. Denise has been mentioned by name in other reviews for her friendliness and the great work she does for us residents. I have a very heavy piano with wobbly legs and Denise has taken the time to carefully move it for me six times to access the A/C filter. Seeing her when we both walk our dogs is the highlight of my day. The work she does at Clarewood goes beyond routine maintenance and includes plumbing and A/C repair. I will be happy to change my review to 5 stars when I learn that her job is no longer on jeopardy.
