I rarely leave long reviews, but my experience with CityScape Apartments / Ironridge Capital deserves to be shared because of how unnecessarily stressful and unprofessional it became. The manager Rose Custer, a serious issue... The issues began when I tried to schedule a simple pre–move-out inspection. I provided my availability, asked for a basic time window, and followed up politely when I didn’t receive a response. Instead of clear communication, the property manager Rose Custer reacted defensively, called my reasonable availability “restrictive,” and abruptly canceled the idea of doing the inspection before move-out at all. I had great experience with CityScape. No major issues and for a few small things that came up the maintenance team and property manager made good faith efforts to address fully and in timely manner. The location is super ideal, grounds kept clean, and it feels really safe.

The location is beautiful and convenient, and though the apartments are old, they are still in good condition. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the property manager and management. If you value the safety of your car and personal belongings, I STRONGLY advise AGAINST MOVING here. During my 1.5 years of residency, there have been multiple incidents of car break-ins, including an attempted theft on my own vehicle while I was away for a few days. Shockingly, no one, not even the property manager, informed me of the vandalism for days. I returned home one day to discover my car missing, only to learn later about the incident. Moving out is a nightmare. I haven’t got my deposit refunded and I have moved out since November 2023. I communicated with different property managers (Victoria, Michelle, Katrine) multiple times regarding the refund of my deposit but I have not received it. No one replies my emails despite chasers, and when I manage to get one of them on the phone or text, they always assure me that they are working on it and the check will be sent to me in the mail. It is now Feb 2024 and I haven’t received any updates from them. There is nothing in the mail. I have lived here since 2021 and noticed that the good property managers keep leaving, and the management ends up doing this patchwork interim manager system covering duties where things don’t get done. We gonna miss living here. Had lived here for 2 years. Overall clean environment and perfect location. Having quick responses & efficient fixing from the maintenance team, who also respected our schedule. Really appreciate that. Also would like to shout out to Sarah, the current property manager!
