Cherry Hill Apartments

Just moved in, started unpacking. Brand new building, spacious unit, modern design, sleek appliance, individually controlled ac, Fios ready, double pane window, on-site storage unit at very reasonable price, assigned parking at good price, thick wall and roof (so no longer hearing your neighbor). Everything has been great so far! Whoa! Great place to live in! Friendly staff. Lendis and Sean were very friendly, helpful, and competent. The process of moving from applicant portal to resident portal could be improved. But nothing major.

PLEASE READ. I have lived in various apartment complexes over the past few years, but I can confidently say that my experience at this property has been by far the worst. The noise levels are beyond unacceptable. Weekends are particularly unbearable, with frequent loud parties and multiple instances of police presence in front of the building. In terms of cleanliness, the situation is deplorable. We have encountered roaches, other pests, and consistently foul odors in the hallways. Parking is another major issue. The spaces are so tightly configured that it’s virtually impossible to avoid damage to your vehicle during the lease term. However, the most egregious problem is the customer service. Great place! Have been living here since 1+ years and have never had an issue. Management has been very responsive on any maintenance tasks - we had 4-5 different requests over the past few months, and they resolved all within 2 days. Building is very new as well (built in 2018).

If we could give negative stars, we would. The building and management at Cherry Hill are terrible. The management team (esp the building manager) lacks basic customer service skills, is difficult to work with, and quite rude. With the number of new buildings opening in Clarendon and Ballston, we suggest avoiding Cherry Hill. The ceilings are low, the appliances are not full size (esp the refrigerators), there are no sprayers in the kitchen sink, and the showers have this weird fiberglass design. Also, the building fails to fix amenities that break like the car chargers in the garage. With multiple electric cars in the building we all compete for one working car charger. After six months you would think the building would fix the charger but instead keep canceling repair requests.

Poor management! False promises and lack of communication by leasing management is the reason I am not and will not be at Cherry Hill Apartments. Usually leasing is the good part as every leasing agent/manager wants you to sign with them but at Cherry Hill it's just bad all around. Don't let the car sales man approach fool you. Unless you enjoy being lied to and completely blindsided, be smart and stay away!
