I previously worked in the building supply industry for 12 years. I had the opportunity to work with 100s of builders from Raleigh to the coast. My wife and I have live in Greenville for 10+ years. It was always a dream of ours to build our own home. After years of looking at construction and homes in Greenville Cherry was at the top of the list to build our home. My family moved back to Greenville in 2020 and decided to build our home. There was only one name that resonated after years and years of being away and that was Cherry Construction. They are now and have always been the best in the area. Everyone we worked with was professional, offered great advice and the finished home was more than we imagined it could be.

No doubt Cherry Construction has a good reputation, but this carries over from the time when the company founder was active and has little to do with the present. We shopped Cherry new construction and saw a number of their houses. One of them had a gas leak. We settled on a different Cherry house, under construction, and this was our experience. A gas leak was also present in our house, which Cherry was unable to repair so Greenville Utilities did it. Our house main water line (past the meter) ruptured due to failure to glue a connector. Within hours, the repair Cherry made ruptured. No wall was actually vertical and no corner at 90 degrees. We asked for plain ceilings and got popcorn instead, and an attempt to bill us for it. The kitchen cabinetry (not of our choosing) was of bad quality
