Charlesgate Apartments

NOT A SAFE COMMUNITY We've been living at Charlesgate for less than a year when all four wheels of our car were stolen right outside of our apartment in the middle of the night. You would assume that an apartment complex for a largely 55+ community would be safe. But while the residents were great and very supportive after the incident, we heard from them that this has happened several times before in the last few years. People have had their wheels, airbags, money, etc. stolen from their cars. Despite that, there are no cameras or other security measures put in place to help prevent this kind of thing. In fact, my neighbors have resorted to putting their own cameras in their windows to guard their property (which due to low lighting and poor night vision video quality, didn’t really help

We lived at the Charlesgate Apartments from 1996-2003 and loved every minute of it. Since then, I have seen the welcomed updates to the units, and what was a fabulous apartment community is now even better! Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been a Charlesgate just about 7 months now and love it! The apartments are very spacious, quiet, and so centrally located. Management is very professional and responsive. Great place to live!

The only reason they get 2 stars in for the quietness and spaciousness. Now for everything else. The management couldnt care less obviously. It is supposed to be for 55 plus, yet they make you go to a completely different complex to speak with leasing office, then they dont even let you use the bathroom (which they have 2 in the leasing office), if they dont care about the elderly's needs as a perspective tenant , they certainly wont care when they move in. Absolutely disgusting. you are there sometimes for over an hour, and you cant have a designated bathroom? Then you have to drie a mile from the leasing office to the actual charlesgate building.Walls and front doors were dirty. Leasing woman agent just ignorant. I visited Charesgate and toured with Natalie. The apartment was beautiful but Natalie was Suberb! She is truly the best !!! Rhis has been a wonderful experience and I applied for an apartment!
