I have no idea where to start. We have had this home for several years. We've done some remodeling and after digging into the structure of the place, let's start with how the framing is not lined up so if you want new drywall good luck getting a screw to line all the way down the brace. They're 1x3 and not 2x4. The WORST of it all is ALLL the pipes and lines that enter the house are 3 to 4 inches too big and MICE WILL INFEST YOUR HOME. Both bathtubs have had major mice and rats nests under them due to these holes. We've had poor plumbing and moisture issues due to the outside of the house not being framed and insulated correctly. Need a new window or glass piece because one broke? Nevermind that, they're discontinued after a few years and you can't replace them unless you re-frame and get
Bought one a several years back, cabinets and counters fall apart pulled up carpets to replace and put hard floor down found numerous screws and utility knife blades under the carpet
My husband and I bought a Redman Catena doublewide, from Ames Home Center in Canaan, Maine. Our move in date was 12/13/2020. Here it is 2 yrs later, still can't get the linoleum replaced, has staple holes in it. After many attempts they can't get rid of the squeaks in the floors. They squeak throughout the home. Tried to order kitchen cabinet doors, was told the factory didn't make them anymore. This was told to us about a month after move in. Mr. Ames told my husband and I, he would need to have the factory come out too replace the linoleum and get the squeaks out of the floors. Still haven't heard a word from the factory or Mr. Ames about our floors. Ames Home Center has been the worst service department of any home dealer we have ever dealt with. We have owned five doublewides in the l
Waited about 9 months for the home, granted a good portion of that was the retailers fault. But let's talk about workmanship from the shop. Sliding glass door is about 3/4 of an inch out of square. Walls have significant bulges, piss poor job on the trim, you can feel bulges on the flooring like they didn't fasten the osb down all the way around, and the front door is out of wack not sealing all the way around. Quality Control and taking pride in what they do isn't there. And as far as warranty on the home well,,, it is a joke. So please do yourself a favor and find someone else build your home.
