Cedar Ridge Apartments

I lived at 1617 apt 1D in 1976 to 1978, we had a 4 bedroom apartment and although I was 10 when we moved there I made a lot of friends and we had fun exploring the woods behind the apartments. I don't remember a play ground. Would love to go back and see the place. Looking back and comparing what low income looks like today, I can see a resemblance. I live in Southern Florida now, so I doubt I'll make it back to Virginia anytime soon. My friends I hung with were Jamie Kent and Ellen Knight

Grew up here in the 80's. Place was a dump then, and it never got better. Our apartment was robbed three times before we got a dog. I loved that dog, hated this place though. Have only been back once, and it was worse than I remembered. Neighbors, if you can call them that, would always pee at the bottom of the stairs. Place smelled like a sewer 24/7. Hope it's gotten better with age.

I lived there in the 1970's with my family. Many great memories of friends. And the playgrounds. I'd love to go back for a visit. I'm sure already by looking at the pictures of the place, it's not as Huge as I remember it. Lol
