Cedar Mills Property Management is keeping security deposits of renters in violation of the Kansas Landlord/Tenant Law-This company is withholding security deposit monies for cleaning/painting of normal wear and tear. I want you to see the condition I left my unit in, and they still kept over half of my security deposit. I have countless more photos with dates included, as well as video, and I will be fighting this in court, but wanted to let future/current tenants know what they are up against with this company. Before you sign a lease, get the information regarding your security deposit up front, make sure YOU REQUEST A WALK THROUGH at the end of your lease WITH AN AGENT PRESENT, this is your right! i currently am a resident at cedar mills property management and i can say i will NOT be resigning a lease to live here another year. Many many problems come with this property management from false advertising(i was told my apartment would have wash/dryer hookups if not there is on site laundry) however that is not the case. i’ve called many times wondering when they would get the on site laundry fixed, eventually gave up because the secretary who answers the phone with a attitude every time responds with the same thing (we aren’t sure) there was a problem with black widows on my patio and i called about 3 times before tanisha ever did anything about it. and now the biggest problem yet the sunkhole in my closet is flooding, i’ve had to throw away shoes/clothes which has caused BOTH of the

Short version, 10/18 house shot, no call or an ounce of compassion shown towards me or my grands that were in the house. 10/20 a letter that was from Michael and Cedar Mills wanting out of my month to month, gave me 30 days to exit , Michael stated he did it to avoid me having an eviction on my record. In the meantime they wanted me to also pay the $1695 while I was to also be moving. THEN I received an order from the court to be evicted and the date was like 10 days away which means that Michael had been lying to me all along. Before this happened they wanted me to get renters/liability in the amount of $100,000,000. They used my trauma to remove me because I would not sign a lease because of that. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE AS A PERSON.

To those looking to rent or lease: these were our experiences and additional information about resources you have available to you when a property management company crosses the lines like Cedar Mills did for more than a year while we leased xxxx N 167th St W. First, reach to the Kansas Tenant Handbook, which outlines what they can and can NOT do. Our experience with Heather and Nela was disgusting. If you show up in person, they scatter like rats. If they communicate by email, it's only Heather responding and almost always being a bully. I have receipts. We attempted to renew a lease and when they wanted us to agree to 24 hour a day non-emergency access, Heather sent her scout (Greg) to gain entry into our house to "fix" a dishwasher. They never got the right code to enter the house tho
