Bought a house in the Huntley subdivision that they manage. While preparing to move in - I had one question related to the HOA. I wanted to make a good impression and follow the rules as I moved in. Multiple attempts to call to ask a single basic question were met with indifference or ignored. Julie, the receptionist takes great effort to be as indifferent or as outright professional-speak rude as possible. I drove to the office and stood in front of her to try to get the question answered and she acted offended I didn’t already know or was comfortable with waiting 48 hours to get a single simple question answered. I have lived at the Reserve at Stone Spring, since moving to VA, in 2015, after losing my husband. (I have a son and family who invited me to come to this area to be closer to them.) I had looked at several apartment complexes, while visiting, but none really appealed to either of us. So, back up to IN (where I was living at that time) to complete the selling of my home. It was then that I was thumbing through an apartment booklet that listed The Reserve, one we'd not noticed while visiting. So, I asked my DIL to come and check it out. And she did, saying if I ever moved here, I'd never want to leave. I wasn't quite ready, yet. but, got more emails from other apartment complexes, inviting me to move in. We have lived at The Reserve at Stone Port for over a year and have throughly enjoyed the community. The amenities are wonderful. The leasing staff, the office staff and the maintenance crew, all are exceptional. We have never had an issue that was not addressed immediately. We would recommend choosing thus community as your home!

The apartment itself is nice and I don’t have too many issues. My main issue is the constant apartment checks and fire alarms that go off. I understand that there are routine checks and that the retail department is being built. But as someone who works from home and has dogs the constant in-unit checks get frustrating. I have to shut my work stuff off and the apartment management expects my giant dogs to be kenneled for 3 days straight waiting for them to come inspect something in my apartment. Then the constant fire alarms.. I wish we were notified when they do testing so we know that we don’t have to leave the apartment. I have to constantly shut down my work stuff and lose pay to evacuate just to be told that we didn’t need too. Why weren’t we informed by email at least then?

I have been living at The Reserve for 6 months now and I have not one single bad thing I can say. The office staff are amazing and I feel so welcomed even when I walk into the office without an appointment or notice—they ALWAYS make time for you. Every time I’ve put in a service request I’ve felt like a VIP tenant because they’re so fast. Today, I put in a request due to a minor issue with my entry lock and in 10mins there was a knock at my door from Ernest, who I have interacted with the most (he’s great! They all have been wonderful though to be honest). Can’t wait for the townhouses to be done, I plan on being here for a while. Thanks for all you do!
