Catalyst Property Management

Me and my girlfriend rented a property with Catalyst, for our first ever place together. We ended up living there almost 3 years! We had a great overall experience, maintenance issues were handled timely, owners were genuinely caring of our well being, and move out process was simple, Would recommend to a friend!

If you decide to rent through this company know that you will not get your deposit back at all. When we first moved into the apartment it was a bit of a mess. We documented this and posted it on our move in paperwork. We spent hours and hours cleaning up our apartment and when we finally got our deposit back it was less than a third of the original. After long threads of emails back and forth they gave us the receipt for cleaning. 11hours of cleaning at $40 dollars an hour?! And after showing pictures and evidence that it was clean and some of the stuff they docked us for was from the renters before us (including paint on the base boards) We eventually got back a measly $100 extra back. Don’t even bother cleaning before you move. You won’t get even half back.

I don't even know where to begin. This is the worst property management ever. When we moved out we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. We also had a raving review from the inspection manager after our first year of living there (we were there for two years). We also left the apartment in better condition then we received it (which was not great). After we left we got a tiny portion of our deposit back with a short vague list of what they did on the apartment. Thankfully we took before and after photos of the apartment and fought for our money back. After several hours of fighting with Catalyst and showing them how they stole our money they gave us hundreds back that they had wrongfully charged us for. Kim from Catalyst was very helpful. She went out of her way to find a nice place for us that would accept our two dogs. She found us a great deal and communicated regularly. She was absolutely the most helpful representative of all the property management companies we worked with. Thank you!

I can’t tell you how horrible this company has been to work with! The apartment my child rented was subpar but fine for a first college apartment, she had one roommate also female both very neat and clean and quiet girls! They lived in the apartment for 6 months they found someone to take over the lease when they moved this company still charged them $1000 each so $2,000 to break the lease then came back and charged them an additional $600 cleaning fee we have before and after pictures of the apartment we had to do so much cleaning before we moved the girls in we wanted to make sure we documented it! There are countless times they charged a late fee when the rent wasn’t late or other random fees that they manipulated out of these kids it’s been a nightmare! DO NOT SADDLE YOUR COLLEGE STUD
