Castor Lofts

My experience here has been disappointing. Many residents I’ve spoken to are unhappy and planning to move. The walls are very thin, and you can hear a lot of noise from neighbors. It’s extremely hard to reach management, and maintenance requests take a long time to get resolved. The gym took almost a year to be completed. Overall, I would not recommend moving here until communication and soundproofing improve. I’ve never been able to reach management by phone, and they don’t return calls.

Castor Lofts is a great place to live. The units have tall ceilings, huge windows with lots of natural light, and a really nice open loft feel with exposed brick. The rooftop views are beautiful, and the building has a modern vibe. Management can sometimes be hard to reach, and I think a better system for communication would help, but once you do get in touch with them, they are very helpful and supportive of tenants. Out of all the staff, Ruben stands out — he’s always respectful, professional, and genuinely nice. The gym took over a year to finish, but it’s now completed and looks great. The package room provides secure storage, although it’s not fully finished yet, and the lobby is still awaiting some final touches. Deceiving and terrible communication from ownership/management. I knew from day one this was a mistake when I found my apartment full of dust and dirt after I gave them many notices ahead of me moving in that it needed to be cleaned ,I knew from that moment I wasn’t staying. It never got any better during my lease here. On top of that I was lied to by management that I would receive a free month to which I expected upon move in but then I was told it would be my final month, well I never got it , all I got was a call saying that wasn’t the case and the person who told me that was no longer with the company…. Oh and btw they never returned my deposit of $1500 they kept it… I HIGHLY recommend to avoid this mess of a property because I could go on with more issues … 👎👎👎👎

Please don’t do it. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the unit even intimate moments. You can never get a hold of management because they never answer the phone. They have been working on the building ever since they first started leasing it so as a tenant you have no peace of mind . It is super noisy and the pictures on google is nothing compared to the actual building/units. They said the gym will be opened within a few months and it’s been 8 months + with no gym . There’s always soothing in other units and they will always want access to your unit . DONT DO IT !!!!

The building is absolutely nothing like the fake, polished photos,Management is completely unreachable — there’s no direct line,The so-called “amenities” we’re paying for? The gym? Been “almost ready” for months now. Don’t hold your breath,If you have pets, apparently that gives you a free pass to let your dog crap all over the place and never clean up,The walls are paper thin — you’ll hear your neighbors’ conversations and private moments like you’re in the room with them
