I had a mortgage through Carrington Mortgage company. I was late on one payment due to covid, selling house, lost my job, and moved out of state. I was a faithful customer for 6 years. I wrote them to see if they would remove it as it was causing my credit score to go lower. They would not remove it. I would not recommend them as customer loyalty and trust is not their first, second, or third care. I was literally 3 days late and now my credit is affected for years. With all the other mortgage companies out there, find someone else!! They are not about the customer.
