Glad I am not alone here. Took over my mortgage and its been nothing but a headache. Everything month seems like there is another reason for my mortgage to increase. Three months ago say I had a negative escrow because tax increase, okay paid the extra. Following mortgage went up $200 due to insurance and tax increase, okay paid it got new insurance to help bring the bill back down. Now this month telling me I owe $250 more because the escrow is negative. When you call its normally not a pleasant call either a lot of speaking down to when all Im trying to do is get an understanding on my actual payment so I know where my money is going. I don't think that is too unreasonable.

Not surprised to see only one star reviews on here. This company recently took over servicing my mortgage loan and in the span of 3 months managed to already screw up my homeowners insurance coverage. They sent my insurance payment to the “wrong location” and when confronted lied and after a week of this they have still not sent the payment!!! The people in charge do not communicate and nothing gets done to no fault of the people that are unfortunate enough to have them take over their loan. They need to be investigated bc there is definitely funny business going on

The company is a sham. I called them because I received a delinquent tax bill. After being on the phone with a rep for almost an hour, I was encouraged to let my mortgage pay the tax bill and add it into my mortgage vs paying the lump sum myself. I raised concerns about added interest charges that were accumulated and was told they would pay it no problem. Here I am a month later and it took them so long to process that I now have another $700 in fees added to my tax bill. My loan was just sold to this company and i have zero confidence in them now.

If I could give them no stars I would. Don’t get any information for this company until a month after my loan was sold to them and not they are telling me that my house might get taken away because I haven’t paid since April but I have payment history showing that all of my payment have been paid. Now they won’t accept my payment because they said I have to pay in full. WHERE IS MY MONEY GOING THEN?! I will be taking legal action against Carrington ASAP. UPDATE: they are back on their shady business again. I made a payment and they never took it out of my account and are telling me that I have to wire the money to them.

Carrington Mortgage IS NOT A MORTGAGE COMPANY, they are a mortgage debt collector, they offer you ZERO assistance to get caught up, they have no interest in helping you KEEP your property, they only want to take your property, I was 2 months behind, and they started bombarding me with pre-foreclosure certified letters, I’ve hired a law firm (BANYA GROUP) to get them off my ass, they exhibit extreme predatory practices & need to be investigated. We had Wells Fargo (another predatory lending company) just sell us to them without notice.
