STAY AWAY! This is the worst place for your student to live in allendale, not only are the apartments dirty upon move in, management here is beyond terrible. The apartments corridors have roaches that will come into your apartment. Alex in the office is very nice however the property manager Christina is extremely rude and unprofessional and talks down on students. They promote themselves as “student-friendly housing”, but Christina does not treat parents or students professionally nor does she take concerns seriously. They refuse to take responsibility or accountability for ongoing problems including the roaches.

Not leaving a 1 star because the office staff is mostly nice and deserves better jobs. Classic scam style apartments, they require you to pay for half of your ROOMATES DAMAGES in the lease, including their bedroom, make no effort to help with their hired security or maintenance who put in a request fufilled form on my maintence request and NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP, and Christina the landlord made sure to find every loophole to keep my security deposit. Try campus view or boltwood, much nicer apartments and staff is actually helpful.

Alex and Christina are the best office and property manager’s you could ask for! 10/10 recommend for anyone coming to GVSU.

My roommate and I love campus west! Alex and Serena helped us get into housing quick on short notice. They’re also so nice in the office! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Serena and Alex have always made us feel welcomed. We love how cozy our apartment is and how homey it is here!

I have lived in several apartment complexes across Allendale as a student. In that time, Campus West has been one of the best by far. The front office and management are extremely responsive when it comes to any maintenance requests, with a worker often responding in-person a day or two after requests are filed. The furnace in my apartment needed a part replaced during the winter, and stopped working. Maintenance responded the same day, and brought a very lovely temporary heating system with them that kept my apartment more than comfortable until the furnace was repaired. The front office is very responsive and friendly, and doesn’t treat its renters nearly as hostile as I have experienced in the past. The free food and refreshments they often have is super sweet, too. Overall, Campus West
