Campus View and Kirkwood Court

I came to Kirkwood court for six month temporary accommodation. But I have been here for about two years now. Why? The area is clean, walkable and peaceful. The people around are sociable and mindful, no disturbance, The management front desk girls are professional, helpful, funny and likeable. All that at a reasonable cost. Definitely recommendable!

EDITED (I found a list in my phone I created at the time and decided to add more!):) Terrible place to live. Police always around, it isn’t a safe place to live. Upon move in, it’s disgusting. Neighbors can be pretty loud sometimes. You move in and things break shortly after move in. They suck at fixing things and will fix them halfway so then of course they break again and again. Or they make up an excuse to try to blame you or make something up that makes no sense as to why something isn’t working so they don’t have to do their jobs and fix it. So after a while you either try to fix it yourself or just leave it. We had the maintenance man come in and fix our shower and we had growing mold on our ceiling above the bathtub, that me nor my roommate realized was mold at the time until her

Daughter lived here while attending Kirkwood Community College which living space is fine. The reason for the 2 star. Just be sure to always do the walk thru with the rental office. Moving in the place was not clean at all kitchen very dirty and this was reported along with pictures. Upon moving out place was cleaned better than move in and was still charge a large fee for cleaning. Company pretty much never follow-up with original report of how dirty the place was from previous tenant..

I've tried leaving multiple reviews (since 2022) but they keep getting deleted even though everything is true. I have everything in a google doc and a statement I've already made to them and the credit bureaus. They prey on people and don't fix issues. Multiple reviews left from others about maintenance or police issues should tell you all you need to know. After 3 years, they still want money from me even though I broke my lease due to Clause 27 (Clear and Present Danger) after my roommate threatened to unalive me multiple times. They came after me for $1300 for breaking the lease when this was spoken about for multiple months before moving and I still haven't been able to get this removed. Please save yourself the headache from renting from them. Look at the other 1 star reviews.

One month in and it’s really good, I’ve lived in an apartment for 8 years with my family, one that a lot of college kids also lived in. With the drinking atmosphere of the U of I it was often loud at nights with some drunken arguments and even vacuuming at 2 am?! But here it’s been relatively quiet, while still sounding occupied with the occasional late night movie or loud stair climbing. Plus having the first week of nightly events was cool, I personally didn’t go as socializing isn’t really my thing, I think it’s important to have that to get more extroverts to meet eachother, just making the complexes feel more connected. I’m mostly rambling at this point. Overall I’m very happy my girlfriend and I chose these apartments, it’s the perfect size for us and our cats and it’s nice to have f
