My name is Adam Krohn. We finished our home in 2023 with Mike and Caliber. The build generally went well. Communication was good with Mike and his team, including the subcontractors. Mike came out to our home many times to help with concerns, especially when we had some flooding due to snow melt. THE BIGGEST disappointment throughout the whole experience and the reason for 4 and not 5 stars was entirely due to the cabinet maker. Mike used a guy who should have told us up front that he did not know how to actually do the finish we wanted. Instead he a agreed to do it and cut out steps and it looked terrible. He agreed to fix the finish, but by then the damage was done and there was no way to fix it correctly over the bad finish. It looked better, but still not good. I hope Caliber no longe

Caliber Customs just completed our custom home in July of 2020. We are extremely pleased with the quality and finish of our new home. Mike has assembled an excellent group of subcontractors and vendors. All of those subcontractors did great work and were very pleasant to work with. When matters came up regarding overages or misunderstandings (as happen in all custom builds), Mike was fair and reasonable. In addition, Mike's contract price for our home was an extremely competitive bid which resulted in substantially more equity at closing than we anticipated. We built a custom home with Mike and couldn't be happier. We had very generous budgets for finishes, there is nothing we felt like we had to go "cheap" on to make it fit the budget. Any overages we had were not surprises, they were choices we made knowing that they were above and beyond our allowances. Our timeline suffered a few hiccups, a few of the subcontractors early in the process were short-staffed and took longer than they should've (a product of current construction boom). Mike did his best to help speed things up with things he could control. All of the subcontractors were awesome, they were good to work with and really listened to things we wanted, and the quality of their work was top-notch. I love my home I built with Caliber Customs. I was very involved in the entire process, which I felt was necessary. . However, we are still under warranty and our things are not getting taken care of. People keep no showing to take care of issues. Also, my “custom” home is now one of their floor plans you can choose from and Is also being made to be a spec home. So now I don’t feel like I have a “custom” home. So I love my home, but I’m disappointed with the follow up.
