Brookstone Apartments

The unit looks nice, and it's convenient being directly behind Walmart, but that's the only good thing about this place. I have absolutely no privacy since my balcony and windows overlook the parking lot by the main entrance. The screen door on my balcony doesn't shut right, so bugs are constantly getting in during the summer. None of my windows are sealed properly, so wind comes through all the time and is so loud sometimes it keeps me up at night. There was a roof leak that caused so much water damage in my wall and ceiling, that the paint literally started to peel off along with some drywall and now there is mold growing (yes I have documented it with pictures, just in case it comes back on me somehow). By far the worst apartment experience ever. $4500 for a move out and on top of that for an income based housing they upped rent to up to $1400. They will do anything to try and get your money and the community is full of druggies. You have to pay for laundry and on top of that, don’t let the cheap blinds break because they will charge you $50 per blind. I was in these apartments for two years and in the two years all they’ve done to better the apartment complex is put sidewalks in and up charge on rent. Even if this place is the last option, I don’t recommend it at all.

Not going to bash the place too much, even though i definitely could. Don’t move here unless you literally have no other option. outrageously priced for what it is, rude management (besides Brianna, she was always helpful.), an environment where nobody should be living, disgusting neighbors, no rules, no respect. i could go on and on reasons why i gave it a one star, but ill leave it at that. the only good thing about this place is the maintenance guy.

Lived here from February 2021 to October 2023, and I wish I hadn’t moved here at all. Everything seemed clean and peaceful at first but things went downhill quick. 1. Noise Whether it’s from inside the buildings or outside, there’s bound to be somebody blasting music to the point where I couldn’t be in the living room without some sort of noise pollution. The walls and floors are so thin that you will even hear people through the floor. This is more frustrating when you work 12+ hour days and nights like I was earlier this year. 2. Odor/filth If the building doesn’t smell of marijuana, it smells of just filth. Despite cleaning crews on site regularly, the hallways were always dirty. I moved resently and they are trying to charge me a little over 6000.00 in what they call early termination fees and fees for not giving 60 day notice !! First off I moved into that apartment in July and a 12 month lease does not make my lease up at the end of September second of all all my rent was paid on time for the 4 years I was at brookstone and third of all I put in to office in December of 23 for medical alterations that were not going to be paid by brookstone and still did not have a determination in July . And my cousel on aging case manager tried to contact Olivia I know of 4 times without a return call !! So please tell me how I owe more then 6000.00 in fees !!
