Terrible. We went to check in at our scheduled check in time of 4pm and were told that our room wasn’t ready. How? The front desk said they had an issue with housekeeping and didn’t know when our room would be available. The entire check in counter was filled with customers all trying to check into their rooms. The wild part about this is all of the employees knew about this issue prior to arrival but made zero attempt to reach out to us regarding the issues with housekeeping and check in We went back and forth with Britain resorts and they gave us $100 credit. Every single time we stay here there is an issue with this place, Britain resorts has gone down hill badly. Poor management from the top to bottom and it shows. Amateur hour at Brittain Resorts management company in Pawleys Island. Tried to stay in a vacation rental and not only did they leave all of my personal information exposed all night on the front porch for anyone to grab, but anyone could have seen the information including the house code to enter. Very unsafe ! It didn’t get any better once we got to the house. 52 degrees upon entering, no house instructions so couldn’t connect to WIFI. The TV remote had no batteries and a cheap TV so couldn’t turn it on manually. There was dirty clothes left in the chest of drawers. No amenities what so ever offered. I stayed at a Brittain Resort and this was my experience **Update** The head of security finally reviewed the footage from this incident 4 days later and advised that someone checked in and did not speak English so they were escorted to their room. They are claiming that it was another guest that came into my room at 3am. There was no explanation as to why an incident report wasn't made by the front desk when the incident took place or why the security guard pretended to lock the door the first time they arrived. When asked for the clip of the video to prove that it was a guest I was told to contact corporate. Well corporate will not answer the phone or return any calls. Original Review. Recently rented a place through Brittain Resorts on Airbnb and mentioned all of the issues with our room on the last day just to make someone aware. My message was looked at an never responded to. I was not looking for a refund, but a "sorry your pillow had mold" or a "I'm sorry for the thick, nasty dust on the fan and vent" would have been nice. I know who I will not be booking with next time.

Please make sure you review their cancellation policies carefully! NO full refunds given no matter how far out you might have to cancel. They don’t seem to care that ‘life’ can happen. Definitely learned my lesson and will never book a stay with them.
