If you value your time, money and sanity DO NOT MOVE HERE. Especially if David Black (VP of Property Management) and/or Myrna Lakey (Bridgeton Apartments Resident Manager) still work for Marathon Management Inc.. I waited two months to post this review for fear of retaliation from the aforementioned employees as it was one of their favorite tactics, amongst other unprofessional and incompetent behavior, while I was a tenant. For example, when I told David Black that a Marathon employee was spreading personal information about me to other tenants and smoking at the non-smoking property he said, "No need to be a tattletale." Worst apartments EVER avoid at all cost!!!!. When i first moved in the apartments it seemed really nice. Not to long after that the tiles started falling off the rim of the counters.They charged me for that after i tried to get a hold of management for a few months, That's around the time when the kept switching manager.So i just gave up that was a big mistake.And the day i moved out they charged for a carpet that was stained when i already had moved in. The manager that showed me the unit said she would document it. It was never got done. They ordered the carpet prior to me moving. it was already going to be change anyway. Bridgeton apartments were lovely. Marathon Management - the company that manages these apartments are much less than lovely. While the apartments were a good size, well upkept, had good appliances, and had a nice grassy area outside and playground, it is managed by a company that I absolutely cannot recommend. I stayed here for 6 months, in a two bedroom apartment, and upon leaving I have been charged $540 for cleaning, carpet cleaning, and painting. I left the apartment in pristine condition, put no holes in walls, and left no damages. The company has refused to refund me, stating that this is what they always do, that because they have a line in the lease that says that any listed cost of repairs can change that they are then entitled to charge any amount. The Bridgeton Apartments are owned by Marathon management. Go to Marathon management reviews they are a 1.1 review. These people constantly overcharge people when they move out. I’m getting ready to go to court. I have documentation on what the apartment look like when I moved out. Do not rent from Marathon management.

Sleek and Comfortable Apartments Deceptive, Greedy, Non-responsive Management\ Interested Parties Beware UPDATE: After seeing that others have had the same experience I needed to add some additional information. Although we had a set move out date, our full month's rent was showing due for our last month - I contacted Lyndy (one of the many nice-yet-ultimately unhelpful rotating faces you may encounter with Marathon and the bridgeton) and was told to just pay the full month's rent and receive a refund after move out. I politely declined, stating that with how little communication we'd received about move-out, we weren't comfortable with that and would like to pay the pro-rated amount once we were aware what it was.
