Briarwood Rental Homes

I lived at briarwood for four years. Having to move away from the first place in Florida that I called home is bittersweet! I moved to briarwood in 2022, it was under a different management at the time which was not so great. However, since the new management has moved in, things have been absolutely amazing. I can tell that the new property manager actually cares about the residents and loves what she does. The new maintenance is responsive and very knowledgeable. The new management is working hard to make improvements constantly to the property day by day and it’s hard work that you can see! The management hosts parties and get-together’s in the office where snacks and refreshments are provided for all residents. The rent is affordable, and well worth the price. Moved here with my husband. We moved from Ohio and applied for apt. Online. Well.... needless to say this place looks nothing like the online photos. All summer no pool. Apt. Smelled like cigarettes when we moved in. A/c unit never worked and it, was nearly impossible to get anything fixed. Everything had an excuse ( well management is new or everyone is new in office) account online always showed we had fees and they never knew why our account was always wrong. It was sadly a terrible experience and regardless of what the poor new management is doing... I just dont see any improvement.... this place has lost its value of living. Way over priced as well.

From the apartment tour to me getting approved was absolute HELL. I told them I needed to move in immediately and set up a tour. The unit was filthy. I’m talking stuff still in the fridge, roaches in cabinets, black stuff all over the bathrooms walls and window seals. I asked if the apartment was going to be cleaned before move in and was told the apartment was already cleaned but the power wasn’t on when it was cleaned… very weird answer. The unit was not show ready! I need a place immediately so I submitted the application and thought I would just deep clean it myself. The application was denied instantly due to my prior on one pert of the application. It took then half a week to tell me I could fix it in my end. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!! Mrs. Dixon is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and will sell you fake dreams and she will lie to you, she does not want to answer any questions and will blow you off. As for me I was supposed to move in on the 1st of February and on the 28th of January I still had no confirmation of anything saying this was my apartment. Shes very rude and treats you like your her grandchild and she makes you feel very unwanted. One day my other half went to the office for information and Ms. Nikki took us in and was very nice but Dixon would not even allow her to talk to us instead Dixon was BANGING on the glass office window and being rude asking Ms. Nikki "why is he here". After my TERRIBLE experience I came to the office yesterday and I asked her for some of my paper work back and I had to ask

My experience was great! Paige was very responsive and resourceful. Absolutely love her personality. Maybe the ratings and experiences with other residents will improve now that they are under new management **fingers crossed**
