Briarwood Apartments

I have been living here almost a month now, and do not see why the rating is so low. Granted I have only been here a short time there have been minor issues with my place, all which have been addressed almost immediately. I live in an older 2 bedroom and the rent is very reasonable, the appliances are older, however the newly renovated units are very nice and priced at a good price. Very quite neighborhood and friendly neighbors, the laundromat is always clean as well as the entire complex minus people throwing cigarette butts everywhere, but how much can you really do about that. Deanna is very helpful on top of things and if anyone asked me I would recommend Briarwood with no problem.

Great Apartment. I lived here for 1 year and everything was great. Best Apartment in Altus for the price. The other apartments in the area are over priced for the area and outdated. I had one of the renovated two bedroom apartments and I loved it. Ms. Deanna in the office is greatt!!! She is really nice and will take care of you if she can! They say they are in the works of getting a fence around the complex, once thats done then this place would be perfect!!! Maintenance man is extremely helpful as well he went out his way to help me jump my vehicle and i really appreciated that.

I moved into one of the remodeled 2 bedrooms they are really nice new stainless steel appliances, New carpet in the bedrooms, AC works great. I had a couple minor issues I called the front office and told the apartment manager about it she was super nice and the maintenance guys came over and fixed it right away.

The location is convenient to AAFB and most of north Altus thanks to Veterans Bypass. Also for the area the rent price for a 2br is near the lower end. However, that lower end rent comes with some baggage. They use old (1999-2002) wall unit air conditioners, which just barely keep the bedrooms cool(74-78 summer) but keep the living room near 70-72. The A/C systems also seem to break often. I have also had problems with windows leaking, which are just fixed with some kind of rubber sealant spray. Other than that I have had no problems here, Jim is a fairly descent man who gets things done when you ask him properly, act like a fool and you're outta luck. Not a good place to live.... The landlord??? She's the best part of this complex. The people who live here are cool but there are flies, roaches, and Lord knows what else living with you.... The maintenence guy is very shady, and will come in your place when your gone with his buddies... but if you don't mind all this; it's a good place for you if you do?? Than get far away from this place.....
