Bonnie Brae Apartments

I am coming on here after being exhausted from so many issues of this complex. My biggest issue is safety. So many times someone has tried wiggling my doorknob to enter. The doors in this complex do not have the peephole so there is no way to check who is at the door. Many times I’ve heard knocking/banging on my door. After I don’t respond or open (because I am not expecting anyone) they then try to open the door. This hasn’t been a one time occurrence, this has happened a handful of times. There is no windows that face the door so I have no way to check. This isn’t a safe area. If you head north a couple of blocks, it is a nicer neighborhood but this complex is right at the line of drug activity and homelessness/camps. The apartment itself is miniature. This is an old building, I get that

EDIT: My proof in case you needed anymore. I attached a photo of drugs that I found outside the building. and no, I won’t contact you guys. This should’ve been addressed a long time ago. ————————————————————————————— I feel like I owe future tenants a warning to this complex. As another reviewer wrote, the crime and activity is at an all time high. They keep changing management and each property manager they’ve changed, I’ve reported the crimes and they don’t care or do anything. There is a tenant in one of the buildings who sells drugs and has been seen shooting up. Packages get stolen weekly, it doesn’t matter if the carrier leaves the package inside, your own neighbor will steal it. Multiple neighbors have seen this specific neighbor steal packages and yet nothing has ever been done.

My leasing rep, Angel, was super sweet and made time for a tour with me last minute which I really appreciated. Some of the apartments were kind of funky but overall they are very cute apartments with a lot of character. Filled out my application and Angel has been incredibly helpful along the way!

Tiny and overpriced. Slanted floors. When you shower and another unit flushes a toilet or just turns on a faucet, shower goes either really hot or cold and flows to a trickle. It used to be priced cheap because it is cheap, now they just put on fresh paint and charge almost triple from a couple years ago.
