Moving in was a mess . Apartment was not cleaned at all. During a week of -30 weather, the snow removal team did not shovel the sidewalks to the garage and the buildings side door was frozen wide open causing a snow drift about a foot tall to accumulate inside the entryway which was not addressed for another week.

Our apartment itself was really nice— updated and clean when we moved in. We had nothing but problems communicating with staff. I would call 2-3 times a day for a few days before finally giving up and going into the office. It was hit or miss if there was actually anyone in the office during their designated office hours. We had an incident with a garage break in and they told us they were waiting on doors so they could fix them. Turns out, when they did repair to door (over 2 months later) they didn’t replace the door. They just screwed the frame back together. Mind you, during that time everything in our garage was open to the public. Someone vomited in the hallway summer of 2020 and it was never cleaned up. I had a great experience with the Goldmark office I rented from prior to moving into a unit at Urban Plains. Everything I experienced beyond the initial showing of the unit was a complete and utter disappointment. I'd say the number one problem is the communication, and sadly this remained true as some staff members left and new ones started. I had to initiate every contact during the application and lease signing process. My move-in date was scheduled with a leasing agent who was either fired or quit. I had put in my notice, taken time off of work, only to be told by another staff member that the date I scheduled was only tentative. Vastly Improved the last two years. The office manager even went around knocking on doors last spring to let people know they need to move their cars (parking lot lines were being painted) or it would be towed. We were given ample warning to move/park elsewhere so if my car was towed it would have been my fault and my fault alone. That heads up was greatly appreciated. Entryways/hallways are kept pretty clean. Maintenance issue was dealt with properly. Can't give 5 stars since the first year here I had tons of issues.

We lived in the Wolf Creek apartments on 44th ave managed by Urban Plains. When we first moved in, the apartment reeked of dog pee. There was pee in the bedroom carpets and by the sliding glass door in the living room. It took weeks to convince the management to clean or replace the carpets. In the meantime, I had a little one still crawling that I had to keep off the floor. It took weeks for it to be addressed, which I felt should have been handled after doing a check-out inspection with the last resident. After the carpets were addressed everything was mostly ok. The units themselves are really nice, and probably the closest to feeling like you live in a house for being an apartment. The free heat in the winter was a lifesaver.
