Big Powderhorn Lodging Association

My exposure to Big Powderhorn Mountain began some 30 years ago. We rented slope side ski in, ski out homes share with friends to share expenses. It ended when the kids reached high school and college age. We returned some four years ago, now with grandkids and in-law spouses. This past trip end of February 2026 was the best. The conditions were awesome. The staff was unbelievably welcoming. Lift operators were encouraging the grandkids and lessons were above par! Renting Matterhorn for the family of 16 has been a blessing and this was the best year yet!! We all noticed the attention of the staff!!!

We had a great time at Big Powderhorn during President's weekend. We have been coming here with our friends and family since 1975. We brought our children here and now our kids are bringing their children. The staff and everyone working here are so friendly and helpful. The new main lodge is beautiful. The prices for skiing, food and drinks are good and the rentals provided by Big Powderhorn Lodging Association are great. We have stayed at multiple rentals throughout the years and they all have the feeling of home. Everyone is look forward to our next trip back. Ken

Our stay at Winter Park one was wonderful! The house Is set up perfectly for our group of eight. It is very well stocked and being able to ski in out was a bonus. Communication with the lodging association was excellent! We appreciated the ease of checking in and out.

This was our second year staying at Mountain View (or the "blue house" as our grandkids call it). This year we booked direct with BPLA. Very smooth process and the staff was very helpful. The house is great. There is enough space for us and our girl's families. It is hard to overestimate the convenience of a true trailside house when teaching small kids, which ranged from 3-10 years old. It is so easy to get them out on the hill and then when they were tired or sore to let them go in for a break. The side of the resort we were on is a bit isolated from the lodge and crowds. It is still easy to ski over to the "front side" for more adventures. Just beware there is not a green route all the way over. So to use the beginner lift by the lodge, a short car trip was necessary for the 2 sm

Winter Park 1 was the perfect location!! About 20 ft. out the front door is Alpen. A very easy ski down to lift 1 and then you’re off to the rest of the nicely groomed runs!! Well stocked kitchen, big table, loved the wood stove and sauna. When we arrived there wasn’t any kindling or matches to build a fire. I called the number on the reservation email and within 20 minutes we had enough fire building supplies that we couldn’t use it all even having a fire every day. Older building but very comfortable!!
