We moved into a home back in 2018 that we purchased from another owner that had just recently built the home and decided to sell it. Big Island was the builder and the home was beautiful and incredibly well built. At different times we contacted Jay at Big Island to help assist us and he was incredibly responsive and helpful even though we were technically not his customer. Recently Hurricane Ian caused a surge that flooded our home and we had to in essence rebuild much of the first level. We didn't have a GC and have worked directly with sub-contractors and things got complicated. We reached out to Jay at Big Island and he has been so helpful in assisting us in our process. We worked with Big Island through Covid and they walked us through every detail. Their work ehic and attention to detail is unmatched. We're so thrilled with the quality of our home and Jay comes back whenever we have the smallest of questions. Highly recommend Big Island as we couldn't be happier.

My wife and I have been thoroughly screening the different builders in Naples by talking to many people over 4 years and visiting hundreds of open houses. Finally, we decided to build our dream house in Old Naples with Big Island Builders. Jay Bowerman as CEO has convinced us that they are working with great quality and love for detail. As Germans and also being an Engineer we love perfection and know what it means to deliver these high standards at a reasonable price. 1/20/26 Update... Again... Big Island delivers SPECTACULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE 10 YEARS AFTER THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED. We has a small plumbing issue when replacing a refrigerator. Jay had is team come over to help out on what was really our responsibility. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY GREAT. 3/3/25 update...It's remarkable to find quality customer service these days, but Big Island continues to provide us with exceptional service years after they completed the initial work. We were having a dehumidifier installed and found some issues with some of the work that had been done by one of the subcontractors. This is a revision/update to my earlier review. Shortly after posting my original review I was contacted by the owner of Big Island Builders, Jay. He apologized for the issues that we had been having, indicated that he had not been informed of some of the problems and promised to make things right. With his involvement, he was quickly able to get the owner of the pool company that had done the original design and installation to come take a look. They discovered that our spa inflow and outflow pipes had been reversed (everything worked, just not nearly as efficiently as they should have…which was why my pump failed early). The pool company owner wrote me a check on the spot for the cost of the new pump I had had to purchase and organized his crew to make the necessary repairs. With t
