Beechwood & Beechwood Terrace Apartments

Only moved here because it would accept us with such short notice, the old management was way better then whoever the heck is in charge now. First they changed how much rent is for us without any notice. Second if you try calling maintenance they either, 1 never follow up, or 2 fix something that did not need any fixing. Three when they do their quarterly maintenance check, the air filter is so damn thin you can see right through it. And if you do put a good quality one they complain about you doing that. Four, the lease involves a bed bug page, just saying. Five, they tow your car randomly, yes even if you just bought the damn thing and haven’t had time to go to the main office due to working before and after the offices hours to get them. The apartment complex is old but for the space size, the rent is decent. There are no roaches and no mice. The only problem I have is the trash that the neighbors don’t throw in the trash can. There needs to be more trash cans or more pickup days.

It’s giving reality TV, not real life. Let’s start with the basics: if you enjoy confusion, chaos, and never knowing who’s actually running the office, you’re going to LOVE it here. The leasing agents quit so often, I started keeping a scorecard. I’d introduce myself but by the time I learn their names, they’re already gone. 🙃 Maintenance takes WEEKS to show up (if at all), but somehow they always manage to enter your unit unannounced when you don’t need them. Cute, right? Oh, and the neighborhood drama? Wild. I’ve seen less action in a Netflix series — from late-night yelling matches, to mystery “pops” that don’t sound like fireworks, it’s basically an interactive thriller. Love that for us. When I moved to Virginia It took me 3 months to find my first apartment in Norfolk.The manager, Ms. Jennifer at Beechwood apartments helped me get into my 695sq 1 bedroom with loft. I lived there for 2 years with very few maintenance issues. Those issues were addressed very quickly. I enjoyed living at Beechwood apartments. The place I moved to was due to location only. I will miss Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Megan and the maintenance crew. Thank you for making my first apartment in Virginia and pleasant. Sincerely,Joanne Davis

Okay place to live-has its share of unsavory people. A few incidents here and there with neighbors where police have had to come out-but I guess crime has no zip code. Has definitely gone down since moving here in October 2020. Apartments are older, but maintenance tries to maintain them. Ms. Jennifer in the office is very helpful and pleasant, but the other lady definitely needs an attitude adjustment. Nothing about her tone or demeanor is professional. Won’t be renewing my lease as I no longer feel safe being here as a single female.
