I’ve had nothing short of a terrible experience renting from Bayard Sunshine Realty. Moved out June 2022 and the landlord refuses to return the security deposit, despite my leaving the apartment in fantastic condition. Said they “mailed it” several times, yet here I am still waiting to get it back to this day August 2024. Dec 2024 update: recieved the return and of my security deposit! - trash is always piled up out front with rats constantly running in and out - hallways and stairwells are rarely cleaned and full of debris - had my ceiling leak on two different occasions, once the ceiling started crumbling inside and it was an extremely difficult experience trying negotiating a rent reduction for a partially uninhabitable space - there was an alarm that beeped nonstop for months that

Just wanted to reiterate (once again, because my previous review was deleted) that similar to the other reviewer, I have also been unable to get my security deposit back from this landlord. I've tried to work with the landlord directly and made a petition to the Attorney General, but have not had any luck yet, a year later. Happy to post a fair update and improve the rating if I do get my security deposit back!
