Joe and Brenda made my mortgage experience as a first-time homebuyer the best it could possibly be. They are both friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and organized. Perhaps most importantly, Joe presented me with an advantageous financing option that two other mortgage professionals I spoke to before him overlooked. I highly recommend them.

Parents who closed the SAME day with the same builder as us got a mortgage rate almost 1.5% lower. Parents mortgage broker locked them in the minute they were able to and got them a much better rate. Our broker waited and then told us it's not his fault and that rate monitoring is our responsibility, not theirs. My parents mortgage company took the extra step to make sure my parents got the best rate as soon as they could. I would think with the money you pay a mortgage broker, they would watch out for things like this. Bay capital did not and it will cost us thousands over the length of our loan. Also, this company communicates strictly by email. No phone calls or text messages to keep you updated. If you get a hundred emails like I do per day, it's very easy to miss their correspondence.

Joe and Brenda are truly the best. They are so responsive, they email right back to answer questions, they walk you through every step in the process. They can give you a timeline if you ask for it. They are prepared for any changes that come up as you close your loan. Overall it was stressful because buying a house is stressful but having such an awesome team who are organized and prompt make the process so much easier. I worked with a couple other lenders previously and no one was as patient, friendly, and kind as these folks. They truly are wonderful and if you're shopping lenders put them at the top of your list.

This was my first home purchase and it was occurring in the midst of a devastating personal loss and a great deal of logistical confusion. Joe and Brenda were the perfect professionals to help guide me through this time and get me to the finish line. They treated me with patience and respect despite the fact that I regularly bombarded them with questions. I really wish I would have read these reviews before assuming Bay Capital Mortgage would be just as easy to deal with as any other lender. Our rate was locked in the middle of August and closing was schedule for end of September. Closing was then pushed back to October 14th. I was told the evening of Oct 13th that everything was done and underwriting had approved the loan. I was called SIX HOURS prior to closing that it had now been denied. I had worked 70 hours the past week and was finally getting to spend time with my 3 year old son and soon to be 1 year old daughter, but now had to leave to upload more documents "within the hour". My rate was 5.75 and will now be 6.8, costing me over one hundred thousand dollars more over the life of the loan, in addition to the multiple thousands of d
