FM Title must be terribly short of workers in Valley City to keep Marita Coghlan on the payroll. Of the 7 previous closings I have experienced in my life, this was by far the worst closing experience I have ever had. I should have suspected there was going to be a problem when Marita asked for an extension before she even started working on the title search. I currently live out-of-state and was not going to be able to personally attend the closing. After she received my abstract, I waited a few weeks and emailed her for an update, her one incomplete sentence email stated “no info yet”. I waited another 2 weeks and emailed for an update, her one sentence email stated “should be any day now. . .I’ll let you know.” The original closing date came and went with no explanation why it didn’t hap
