I rarely write reviews but when I do it’s for a damn good reason. In this case it’s due to the outstanding service we received from Back Forty. We bought bardo plans offline from Architecture Design. All excited, we retained our builders, submitted plans to our town, truss company and lumber yard to be on our journey of building our dream Barndominium. Then we got news from the truss company. In order to make this house work with our snow load, the roof trusses would need to be a scissor truss. This was going to extend the top plate 4 more feet. This would have made us change the gable windows in the front and the entire look of the house would have been ruined. Our foundation was already poured at this point. I called Patrick from AD and he put me in touch with Liv, CEO from Back Forty w

From the first email & phone call to now (17 months later), Liv & the staff of Back Forty Buildings have been nothing short of amazing. Their abilities to understand what would work best for us, working with us and our local design consultant … hands down best experience. I had heard horror stories about building a home and I was a little nervous. No horror stories from us. Liv understood our needs, modified the Dutton plan to fit not only our ‘asks’ but also the land we built on. Our builder appreciated the plans as they were well detailed, thorough and concise. Throughout the building process, and after, she has continued to be approachable and timely with her replies. I would do this all again! Liv made our “next chapter home” vision a reality.

Back Forty Building Co. did an amazing job with our plans! We chose The Lolo with some modifications and Jaime has been a huge help in making the changes we wanted and has been very responsive. Everyone there has been great to work with. Can't wait to see our plans come to life!

Back Forty Building has designed a beautiful home that we are looking forward to building. We worked with Heather to customize one of their existing designs to meet our specific needs. She was a delight to work with. Great designs and affordable pricing (as compared to using a local builder and architect). Highly recommend checking out their home designs.
