B Street Apartments

I enjoyed living here. Fun neighborhood, close to great parks, and easy to get everywhere. Anchor Property Management keeps the building clean and up to date. I would recommend this building and all the other apartments Anchor manages in Portland.

Lived here for THREE days before my bike was stolen from the locked storage room. Called in and they said they can check cameras and key fob access to help me get it back, then over the next couple days over email let me know they wouldn’t/couldn’t help with that after all, and the Tenant Relations Manager Jill sent an insanely passive aggressive email to me, which added salt to the wound. I was really excited to live here, but I just can’t recommend it at all with such a huge blow to my feeling of security in the first week. I miss my bike :/

I actually love my apt and super grateful to have my own place again, but then again.., it’s super small and hardly a closet. But if other things were better. IDK. No parking, and management is cold and strict corporate vibes. No community feels. Loud street noise and lots of theft and vandalism. Security is available but never a presence. So criminals will take their casual time destroying your stuff. If a neighbor has a barking or whining dog left alone, you’ll hear it.

Decent place to live if you don't mind neighbors who throw tantrums at 2 or 3 AM and slam things around their apartment, waking you up in the middle of the night. You wanna leave your window open during the Spring and Summer or when there's actually nice weather in Portland? Great, because you'll also hear these same neighbors yelling at each other and having toxic arguments when they should really go to couple's therapy or break up instead. Management doesn't do much except tell you, "we'll talk to them about it", but nothing actually gets done about it. They're still throwing things against the wall, slamming doors, having mental breakdowns for everyone to hear, and dropping heavy objects on the floor at all hours of the night.

I have had 3 bikes stolen in 6 weeks. Alerted management and each time I was given the run around while they asserted they were not liable. I get they are not liable but they haven't taken any measures to reduce bike theft from there locked “secure bike enclosure”. Its just disappointing paying 1500 a month in rent and still not being treated with respect like a tenant should. Maybe on the website along with the section that says how bike friendly they are they should put “average of 1 bike stolen per week”. I would just like to be treated as a valued tenant; cant wait till my rent is up.
